Job Description:
Lake Chelan School District has two openings for Head Cooks
starting in August 2025 for the 2025/2026 school year. One will be
at Morgen Owings Elementary, and one will be at Chelan Middle/High
School.These positions are for 8 hours per day/193 days per year.
The salary range will be $22.69 to $28.25 per hour, depending upon
prior school district experience in the same job
classification.Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma
- Post-secondary food service training and work experience
desirable
- Ability to lead and establish working relationships with
co-workers and function as part of a cohesive team
- Commitment to keep current with workplace innovations that
enhance the food service program
- Food production skills and the ability to prepare standardized
recipes using a commercial kitchen
- Ability to monitor and manage compliance with nutrition,
health, and safety laws and regulations
- Ability to accurately compute and record mathematical data
- Ability to interact comfortably and confidently with the
public
- WSP, FBI and Sexual Misconduct clearance
- Food Handler card
- 1st Aid/CPR CardEligible Benefits:
