Job Description:

Lake Chelan School District has two openings for Head Cooks starting in August 2025 for the 2025/2026 school year. One will be at Morgen Owings Elementary, and one will be at Chelan Middle/High School.These positions are for 8 hours per day/193 days per year. The salary range will be $22.69 to $28.25 per hour, depending upon prior school district experience in the same job classification.Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma
• Post-secondary food service training and work experience desirable
• Ability to lead and establish working relationships with co-workers and function as part of a cohesive team
• Commitment to keep current with workplace innovations that enhance the food service program
• Food production skills and the ability to prepare standardized recipes using a commercial kitchen
• Ability to monitor and manage compliance with nutrition, health, and safety laws and regulations
• Ability to accurately compute and record mathematical data
• Ability to interact comfortably and confidently with the public
• WSP, FBI and Sexual Misconduct clearance
• Food Handler card
• 1st Aid/CPR CardEligible Benefits:
