Job Description BAE Systems is seeking a Material Control
Specialist (MCS) to join its organization.Responsibilities:
- Handle all aspects of material handling functions including but
not limited to receiving, transporting, storing, and ensuring
accurate inventory in the warehouse and other store locations
within the plant.
- Open containers using hand tools
- Counts, weighs, and samples materials
- Utilize computer systems for tracking, logging, verifying and
recording information.
- Handle the loads and unloads of materials onto or from pallets,
trays, multi-level racks, and machines by hand
- Loads or unloads materials into or from trucks by hand or with
equipment.
- Operate equipment inclusive of forklifts (electric or diesel
powered), pickers, and pallet jacks (electric or manual).
- Follow all departmental material handling practices and
procedures along with customer requirements while putting safety as
a top priority. Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years relevant work
experience
- Proficient forklift operator
- Experience in warehousing or manufacturing environment
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills
- Basic math skills
- Willing to work in a team environment
- Ability to physically lift objects up to 40 lbs.

- Availability to work overtime as neededPreferred Education,
Experience, & Skills
- Experience with Oracle based MRP system
- Ability to use Zebra handheld scan gun equipmentPay
