Job Description:
A company is looking for a Mainframe Programmer for a contract
to hire opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
Implement and manage IBM mainframe server hardware and software for
production and disaster recovery systems
Perform installation, maintenance, and upgrades for system
software, and provide technical support and training to users
Ensure compliance with server, network, security, and engineering
standards while participating in disaster recovery exercises
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
Extensive expertise with IBM z/OS mainframe and related
tools/products, including LPAR configuration and DB2 COBOL
Experience with IBM DS89xx disk subsystems and networking
technologies that support the mainframe
Knowledge of z/OS virtualization, including zLinux installation and
maintenance
Ability to develop, teach, and mentor team members
Permanent authorization to work in the United States without
sponsorship
