• Work in a collaborative environment with various project teams to support the mission and its components
• Act as a trusted client advisor, responsible for project delivery
• Lead multiple operational projects and teams in a collaborative team environment
• Responsible for project scoping, planning and tracking, on-time delivery, and high-quality deliverables and services
• Meet financial objectives
• Prepare and participate in client presentations
• Provide advice, assistance and written recommendations on strategic initiatives and performance improvement opportunities
• Assist in identifying key capability gaps and assist in developing recommendations to address these gaps
• Coordinate with both internal and external stakeholders
• Participate in development of proposals in support of new business development
• Oversee a delivery team and be main point of contact for clients for assigned projects
• Support hiring/recruiting as needed to support various business initiatives
• Communicate the improvements from and help implement EY US' portfolio management, PM and project management methodologies
• Develop people through effective leadership, coaching and mentoring of all levels of staff
• Support people-related initiatives through competency brand building (e.g., recruitment, retention, training, competency development)Skills and attributes for success
  • Understand clients' cultures and operations to influence important decisions
  • Leverage industry leading practices and trends to provide valuable insights to clients
  • Assist with cultivating and managing business development opportunities. Understand EY and its service lines and actively assess/present ways to serve clients.
  • Develop and maintain long-term client relationships and networks. Develop relationships with team members across all EY practices to serve client needs.To qualify for the role, you must have
    • 7 or more years of relevant professional work experience as a project manager and business analyst
    • Ability to work in a high-demand, fast-paced environment
    • 7 or more years supporting DHS components
    • 5 or more years managerial and hands-on experience supporting the DHS components' acquisition and investment management processes, DHS INVEST and related deliverables
    • 5 or more years managerial experience with direct supervisory responsibilities
    • Subject matter expertise, demonstrating significant breadth and depth in multiple domains of work including business transformation, performance management, emerging technologies, innovation, travel, trade, biometrics, information systems, and technology platforms
    • Excellent communications skills, including verbal, written, interpersonal, and presentation
    • Well-organized with a track record of producing high-quality deliverables on time
    • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
    • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance or higher, which will be driven by the engagement requirementsIdeally you'll also have

The candidate should have experience delivering services for project plans on medium to small projects. Experience with federal, state or local agencies, often gained by working in a Big Four global management consulting firm or a blue-chip company focused on the government and the public sector, is a plus.What we offerWe offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you'll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $96,300 to $176,500. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography.Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model.
